Azienda Solare Italiana (ASI)-a joint venture owned by investment funds Quercus and Swiss Life Funds (Lux) Global Infrastructure Opportunities, which specialize in renewable energy-has successfully completed the acquisition of a portfolio of six photovoltaic plants located in Sicily and Puglia, with a total installed capacity of 18.4 MWp. The plants were pledged and owned by the Company X-Elio (formerly known as Gestamp Solar), a company particularly active in the photovoltaic sector in Spain and Italy and controlled by the Kkr Global Infrastructure Investor II Group. With this acquisition, the ASI joint venture exceeds 100 MWp of installed PV capacity in Italy.
The primary objective of the EOS study was to confirm the technical adequacy and long-term sustainability of the investment, with particular reference to the identification of probabilistic scenarios of producibility, and the investment costs of maintaining the asset. The analyses were also supported by site investigations and documentary checks on the history of the plants and the technical aspects of the administrative paths.
