EOS continues its activities alongside Citylife with the awarding of the Technical Review and Value Engineering assignment for the design of the last building in the former Fiera Campionaria section of Milan, “il Portico,” by world-renowned Danish archistar Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).
The project, winner of an international competition, envisages the creation of an iconic architecture, composed of two distinct courtyard buildings, characterized by curtain walls, balconies and walkways, with bright and spacious interior spaces, connected by a suspended roof, a distinctive feature of the project, designed to be permeable and fully integrate with the general intervention, thus configuring itself as a scenic entrance to the CItyLife district.
With an area of approximately 54,000 square meters, the structure is designed to accommodate public and work spaces. The project, developed entirely using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies, is also characterized by the application of the highest international standards in terms of energy efficiency, environmental comfort and sustainability of materials and construction processes, with the set goal of obtaining LEED Platinum certification.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2021 while completion in 2023.
